The Roostertail: An Overview

At Daisy Blue, we LOVE photographing a Roostertail wedding! First and foremost, working with Nicole, their coordinator, makes shooting a wedding there an absolute breeze! She works with all the vendors like a team player, ensuring everything happens exactly like you want your day to go. 

Our favorite amenity of the Marine Room is the rising dance floor. It’s perfect to raise the bride and groom above all their guests during their first dance. It’s an option you won’t find pretty much anywhere else. 

But I have to be honest, I also absolutely love photographing in the Palm River Room, to have access to the amazing deck overlooking the Detroit River. Not only for the views of Canada and Downtown Detroit, but for the lighted water show that happens after the sun sets.

• Package I (starting at $129 per person): Includes a four-and-a-half-hour reception with a plated dinner service or buffet. An open bar and essential amenities are part of the package.
• Package II (starting at $159 per person): This option extends the reception to 5 hours and adds deluxe features like a starter package of passed hors d’oeuvres.

The staff was so organized, welcoming, and helpful, and they made the planning process easy for us from start to finish.
